Demand Judicial Accountability & Broadbased Legal Reform
The Cook County Circuit Court is the largest municipal court system in the country, a monolithic bureaucracy that is driven largely by the unchecked growth of government and patronage stemming from judicial elections and "recommendations" that are served up by groups such as the Illinois State Bar Association, Cook County Bar, Chicago Council of Lawyers, and other bottom-feeders who seek to profit from the growth of the judiciary. This results in an undue burden on taxpayers when such growth is influenced by trial lawyers, judges, and those who do their bidding in Cook County, in Springfield, and in Washington, DC.… more

Require commsioners to STOP running for office
Commisioner like Peraica, Quigley and Claypool should not be able to ONLY criticize county government and work to build colalitions to make some changes..if you cant then WHY are we PAYING you? In Claypool's example he is not on 1 single comiteee so its strange he "always knows" the andwers when he has no clue. Peraica and Quigley are trying to leave the board so how much do they really care?

deport illegal aliens
In order to help our economy we need to remove illegal aliens from the population and return them to their countries. A path to citizenship for those who have broken our laws is unacceptable. the drain on our economy, hospitals, schools, welfare, infrasructure, would be disatorous especially with american job losses. And the crime that follows the illegal alien culture is also a huge drain on our resoruces.
No amnesty or so called path to citizenship for Illegal Aliens. They are not immigrants. Immigrants come here the right way.15 votes -

Privatize the Cook County Highway Department.
Follow these jokers around for a day and see how much time they spend riding around, hiding out, and watching the clock.
The private sector could do the same amount of work for half as much money.

Reform Cook County Juvenile & Domestic Relations Courts
Like the rest of the Cook County Civil Division, the Juvenile/DCFS and Domestic Relations Court Divisions are amongst the most poorly run in the country, in no small part due to patronage by local bar associations who basically influence judges to allow for protracted litigation that forces many fit, law abiding parents to prove that they are, in fact, fit to care for their children, a royal scam that enables the judicial system to use innocent children as pawns for political and economic gain. A Domestic Relations action in Cook County is also one of the quickest ways to drive… more

Privatize the CTA
As most Cook County taxpayers are aware, the CTA is a grossly mismanaged agency that lacks the capacity to reign in spending and improve operating efficiencies, and taxpayers can no longer afford what they and Mayor Daley have to dish out for us. The simple solution is to privatize portions of the CTA by leasing out certain bus and train lines in order to create competition and cut spending.

Focus on quality/productivity of services rather than cost
Instead of government entities focusing on cost, the conversation should focus on productivity and quality of services delivered. Standard measurements/metrics could be established and utilized/compared across township, county and state governments. Annual goals could be established to improve on these metrics each year.
